I’m Caroline Ferguson, lecturer and researcher at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences and Doctor of Education researcher at the University of Tasmania. I teach students how to educate in social studies/humanities, global politics, citizenship education and intercultural understanding.
I have a Master of Education degree with a specialty in Global Education, Bachelor of Arts degree, Postgrad Diplomas in Education and Museum Studies. I’ve been a consultant to the International Baccalaureate and worked in education in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and The Netherlands and taught K-12 including the International Baccalaureate to Diploma Programme level.
I’m currently researching Global Citizenship Education in International Baccalaureate curriculum international schools. I’m interested in the sociological contexts of education, where globalization meets education, cosmopolitanism, identity and human rights.
